2023 Hyundai Elantra N Line Overview

The Elantra N Line is designed and engineered to deliver a sportier driving experience than the Elantra. The N Line model, characterized by N specific design and performance-enhancing elements, offers an entry point to Hyundai’s high-performance N Brand lineup.

Performance

Powered by a turbocharged 1.6L GDI four-cylinder with a seven-speed double-clutch transmission, the Elantra N Line delivers a very sporty driving experience. The DCT has a Shiftronic manual mode via large steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters or the gear lever according to driver preference. The N Line’s engine generates 201 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. An available sport mode offers more aggressive shift points and the ability to hold a gear longer.

Practicality

Hyundai engineers implemented several mechanical improvements to Elantra’s suspension to increase stiffness for more grip, aided by 18-inch alloy wheels, multi-link independent rear suspension and larger front brake rotors. Interior design elements include a leather-wrapped perforated N steering wheel with metallic spokes, N sport seats with leather bolsters, gearshift with metal accents and leather inserts, and alloy pedals.

Value

For 2023, the Elantra N Line starts at $32,153 including PDI.

Is the 2023 Elantra N line fast?

For 2023 the manual has been discontinued, leaving a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic as the sole transmission choice. Due to difficulty launching the manual Elantra N Line we tested, our best 0-60-mph time was 8.6 seconds; the dual-clutch should be quicker. Fuel economy rates at 28/36 mpg city/highway.

Is there going to be a 2023 Hyundai Elantra N?

2023 ELANTRA SE: 33 City/42 Hwy/37 Combined MPG. 2023 ELANTRA SEL/Limited: 30 City/40 Hwy/34 Combined MPG. 2023 ELANTRA N Line 7-speed DCT: 28 City/36 Hwy/31 Combined MPG.

Is the Elantra N Line fast?

Hyundai's N performance division has upgraded the Elantra's suspension, brakes, tires and engine — and the results are excellent. With the manual transmission, the Elantra N hit 60 mph in 6.4 seconds. Not bad, but the quick-shifting dual-clutch automatic knocked that down to 5.4 seconds.

Will the Elantra N be discontinued?

What's New for 2023? The Hyundai Elantra N is a carryover from the 2022 model year, meaning it receives no changes. It does, however, become one of just two N-brand models along with the Kona N, as the automaker has discontinued the Veloster N and will not produce it for the 2023 model year.
