Based on your parametersa specific component material, a design space [or envelope], and permissible loads and constraints—Solid Edge will compute a reduced-mass geometric solution that maintains structural integrity. You can run multiple weight targets, load cases, and constraint scenarios simultaneously.

Parts resulting from generative design in Solid Edge are ready for Additive Manufacturing. High-resolution 3D printers can handle the complex shapes, shortening your new product time-to-market or speeding production of replacement parts.

Components optimized using generative design can be further modified with Convergent Modeling and Synchronous Technology. Meshed results are seamlessly integrated into the normal model editing process, allowing you to get the final design needed for the task at hand.
