The PRISMA statement, the associated flowchart, and checklist have changed the landscape for reporting the methods and findings of systematic reviews and meta-analysis. The 2020 update has been released, and can be accessed here.

Systematic Reviews is committed to the implementation of this major PRISMA update, and a notification will be posted here as to when and how the transition from the 2009 statement to PRISMA2020 will become required reporting for systematic review and meta-analysis submissions.
