GP4000S tire

I have been using these tires for several years now. I minimize flat tires by using new tires at the most every year. The rare flats I have had were all due to very thin and sharp thorns. I also like that the tires are made in Germany which gives me confidence in their quality. Incidentally I see some people riding these tires on a 42 degree banked velodrome.

Raises the bar!

I have been riding these tires for years and they NEVER disappoint. Flatting has been virtually eliminated from my riding regimen. I basically ride these tires to the point where the tread is worn to oblivion. I personally don't have a single "con" when it comes to these tires. I hope the 4000S II's maintain the same standards!

Continental Tire Purchase

Customer Service from Probikekit has been exceptional. My recent purchase of Continental Grand Prix 4000s tires arrived prior to the targeted delivery date. The prices of these tires is untouched by other on-line stores. I will do more business through Probikekit in the future. Randy

Best tires for the money.

I am now on my third set of Continental GP 4000s. I did have an issue with a side wall on my first set, but I have learned that this is a weak spot and I am very careful not let the sidewall hit anything as I ride. Other than than they are great all around training and even racing [amateur] tires. They hold in wet and I feel confident enough to hit 45+ MPH on a downhill without a big worry of a blow out. I will keep buying this tire and will recommend it to cyclist in a semi-competitive range of riding.

Continental Grand Prix 4000s

These tires are wonderful! I am a larger frame male, 5'9" 220 lbs., living in Michigan and I have over 1000 miles on this set of tires and no flats. These tires wear well and corner great. I rotated the tires at 750 miles and look forward to rotating them before winter around 1500 miles. I purchased a pair that was made in Germany which is hand built. I have heard of people having problems with sidewalls giving out and I think they may have had a set from China which are not as good. The roads in Michigan can be in rough shape and these tires handled the potholes and uneven road surfaces well. The tires are very stable at high speeds. [52mph]. I will buy another set when these wear out and I recommend these tires to all serious riders who enjoy ridding and don't want to worry about there tires durability.

Conti Road Tyre Grand Prix 4000S

Michelin was the brand I used before. Since I switched to Continental Grand Prix 4000S clincher road the last few years I really love this brand. Conti seemed to withstand well all kind of road [ie. Texas Gate in North America, sharp shoulder...] especially wet conditions. I usually clean tyres with wet towels and check after ride.

Hard to fault this tyre. Lively and durable. The walls hold up far better than some other leading brands.
