| How to keep an app running in the background |
In order to optimize the system and save battery power, the EMUI automatically closes apps that are running in the background and not being used for an extended period of time.
To keep an app running in the background, please follow the steps below: [EMUI 10.0 is used as an example. Operations for other versions may vary.]
- Open Optimizer on the home screen.
- Touch the Battery icon.
- Find and touch App launch.
- Toggle off the switch next to the desired app.
- In the displayed Manage manually dialog box, toggle on the Run in background switch.
When Manage automatically is enabled, some app launches will be prevented based on scenarios to save battery power.
If your phone is in EMUI 8.X/9.X, please follow the step: open Optimizer, access App launch, and then toggle off the switch next to the desired apps and choose options in accordance with your preference.
