NiKo #1 2022 I'm still so shocked at how many people have no idea how much NiKo's team is holding his stats back. Now that NiKo only has to carry 2 average players instead of 4, I predict at least 0.03 rating difference (vs top 20 teams) between NiKo and S1mple next year, and NiKo will take #1 easily. Hypocrites will find excuses and say it's because 2022 is a slump year for S1mple like they tried in 2019, but NO. It will be because they are finally on a level playing field. Frankly, even with m0NESY and AleksiB, NiKo's teammates will still not match S1mple's teammates in terms of firepower, but it will be enough for NiKo to take #1 because he's that much better. Don't get me wrong, I like S1mple and I think he's way better than anyone else. See you here in a year.

"Frankly, even with magisk and dupreeh, Zywoo's teammates will still not match S1mple's teammates in terms of firepower" Recency bias at its finest lmao Dupreeh, magisk, misuta > perfecto, b1t, and electronic in terms of firepower. People have an absurd idea of B1T because of recency bias. Perfecto just plays his roles well - he's not a fragging beast like dupreeh, magisk, or misutaa. And apex > boombl4 in both firepower and strats. 2022 Vitality will be more stacked on paper, than Navi. And finally 2019 wasn't just a slump for s1mple. His roster practically crashed. 2019 Navi - Anchor left (Edward), IGL left(Zeus), Coach left (Starix), New temporary coach (Kane), Temporary stand-in (Kane), New IGL signed (Boombl4), Temporary Coach kicked (Kane), New coach signed (B1ad3), New AWPer (GuardiaN for 3-4 months), s1mple role changed to rifler, GuardiaN benched and s1mple back to his role, New support (Perfecto). 2019 Navi was barely a Top10 team (hltv.org/news/28738/top-10-teams-of-2019), and that too only because of s1mple and electronic's raw firepower, which helped to win a few games, even with trash teamplay and 0 strats. A group of good individuals doesn't always make a good team. And similarly, a good team doen't always mean all members are individually good.

Last 2 paragraphs are literally facts. About the first 3 paragraphs, there's a lot of nuances to take into account: 1) Firstly, both Magisk and dupreeh have ranked within Top5 HLTV in the past iirc, and they've proven their mettle beyond doubt. Firepower isn't just about raw aim. Even with a weaker raw aim, a cerebral and super-experienced player will outposition & outduel an aim-god in a 5v5 game. 2) Secondly, you/we are assuming that dupreeh and magisk have lost their form, heading into 2022. We don't know if that's true. Even if it was, there's no guarantee that they can't regain motivation and grind back to the top. 3) Thirdly, you are assuming that B1T will be able to keep delivering 1.20+ rated performances and get better at that. Once again, we don't know that. Kjaerbye's flame burned just as bright but ended up in a puff of smoke, faster than you could imagine. 4) Electronic is great. No doubts about that. Perfecto's firepower and consistency is not as good as magisk's, statistically speaking. Apex might be an old guy, but his average fragging performance is just as good as boombl4. I'm not even talking about the fact that apex is higher rated. Strats are difficult to judge from the outside, but I'd say apex is a better IGL than boombl4. Note: Just because Navi won a lot, doesn't necessarily mean boombl4 is the best IGL in the world. When I say, "it will be more stacked on paper" (excluding s1mple and ZywOo), I take all of it into account. I obviously don't consider recency bias.

Even in 2020, they were both ranked within the Top10. This year, b1t and Electronic are likely to get the treat as well. Will it continue into 2022? I hope so, but I doubt it will continue at the dominance of this scale, where Navi losing a map makes HLTV go crazy. Mid-round calls are also often made by s1mple and Electronic. B1ad3 said that his system isn't based on the IGL telling everyone what to do all the time. Everyone's at the same level of tactical understanding and they all have all the strats handed out to them by b1ad3 himself. The midrounding's weight is probably more on boombl4's shoulders compared to others. But it's definitely not all credit to him. Apex gets crazy a lot, but I've seen their vlogs and stuff. That's just the kind of guy he is in a game. But he's not toxic at all, if that's what you're implying. And their teamplay is not "ZywOo go kill". It just seems that way because the entire roster is now playing a kind of aggressive freestyle CS, after the roster changes were announced. About the communication and team synergy part, I definitely agree. I was comparing the individuals pound for pound, assuming them all in form and motivated. I presumed that was the purpose of this sub-thread. Their teamplay is definitely unpredictable right now. PS: Gotta go sleep now. Partied so hard and it's past 2 in the night :D We can continue the discussion some other time. Have a nice day :)
