Leading global research firm Gartner has opened up their Industry Survey that helps determine its rankings of the top 25 supply chain management undergraduate programs in North America, a ranking that the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas has held the top spot in since 2020.

Gartner, which studies and rates companies and academic programs across a variety of industries, releases its findings on supply chain programs every two years. Arkansas’ program has remained the top program in Gartner’s rankings since 2020.

“Gartner is a respected and unbiased industry leader,” said Matthew A. Waller, dean emeritus of Walton College. “This Gartner ranking reflects the hard work of our outstanding faculty, staff and students. Without question, our supply chain department is one of the best!”

The rankings reflect excellence in three specific areas: industry value, program scope and program size.

“If you have engaged with our department, then you know how talented our students are and how dedicated our faculty and staff are,” said Brian Fugate, chair of the J.B. Hunt Transport Department of Supply Chain Management and the Oren Harris Chair in Transportation. “This survey is an important part — along with their examination of our curriculum and industry readiness for our students — for how Gartner determines its rankings of undergraduate supply chain programs and we’d love for you to consider placing the University of Arkansas as one of the top supply chain departments in North America once again.”

Current students and faculty are ineligible for this survey, and responses from private email accounts will be scrubbed from the data. When filling out the survey, please use the email associated with your place of employment. The survey is available Jan. 29 to Feb. 12.

The top universities will be announced at the Gartner Supply Chain Symposium/Xpo 2024 conference in Orlando, Florida, May 6-8.
