Millions of new photos, videos and links are getting uploaded daily on Facebook and while browsing you come across few of them on your news feed. Some you may like and some you may not.

Let’s say you found a cool sponsored product link or an article. You clicked on the link. But for some reason one of your friend called and you closed the Facebook app without even reading it completely. Now you are back and want to go back to that link but can’t find it anymore.

What would you do? Is it possible to check Facebook browser history? If yes then how?

Short Answer

I wrote this article on December 2018 and as of now there’s no direct ways to check facebook browser history. How ever there are some other ways you can check the links you clicked…

Methods To Check Browser History

  • Recent Ad Activity : If it’s a link from a Facebook Ad, then you can go to Menu > Recent Ad Activity on the mobile app or Recent Ad Activity on the web app. There you’ll find all sponsored posts clicked by you.
  • Activity Log : If you liked or commented on that post, you can go to your Profile > Activity Log to view all recent posts in which you were engaged.
  • Saved : Well, I guess you already know this. If you had saved that post. Then you can easily access it again using Menu > Saved option.
  • Device Browser History : It won’t work on mobile app. But if you clicked on that link on desktop or mobile browser. Then it’s always there in the specific browser’s history page. For Example, on Chrome, you can go to Menu > History to check the recent visited websites easily.

So there’s no ways to check the browsing history on Facebook app directly. If we are missing something, then please let us know in the comment.

There is an almost endless stream of content available on Facebook; so much so that sometimes it is hard to find a video that you were just watching. Thankfully, every video you have recently watched on Facebook will be saved in the “Videos you’ve watched” section on your profile. Even if you’ve only watched the video for a few seconds, it will still be added to this list. Facebook also provides the option to clear the entire video watch history or delete an individual video from the list.

This article will show you how to view recently watched videos on Facebook on different devices.

Facebook has a lot of interesting video content to offer to its users. New videos pop up on your feed every day. If you like a video on Facebook, or if you would like to watch it again later, you can add it to your saved videos. However, what happens when you watch a video on Facebook but you forget to save it? Once you refresh your Facebook feed, finding something again can be a real challenge.

This doesn’t mean that the video you watched is lost forever. Every video you have watched recently [even in the past few months] is saved in the “Videos you’ve watched” section on your Facebook profile. This section is very handy in situations when you can’t remember who posted the video, and it saves you a lot of time you would otherwise spend searching.

If you want to view recently watched videos on Facebook, here’s how it’s done on browser.

  1. Visit Facebook on your preferred browser.
  2. Log in to your Facebook account.
  3. Head over to your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  4. Click on the three dots located beneath the Edit Profile button.
  5. Select Activity Log.
  6. Choose Logged Actions and Other Activity on the left sidebar.
  7. Proceed to the Videos you’ve watched option.

All the videos you’ve recently watched will be on the list. You can also see exactly when you watched a video.

From this point, you have the option to delete a specific video from the list. To do this follow these steps:

  1. Click on the three dots on the right side of the video
  2. Choose Delete.
  3. Clear the entire video watch history by clicking on that option in the upper-right corner of the screen.

A similar option to “Videos you’ve watched” on Facebook is “Videos you’ve searched for,” which is located directly under the first option on the left sidebar.
