What is Paragon HFS for Windows?

Tuxera와 함께 파일시스템 소프트웨어 공급업체로 유명한 독일의 Paragon사에서 'Paragon HFS + for Windows 8/8.1 Free Edition'을 출시하고 무료로 배포하고 있습니다.

Paragon HFS+는 맥의 파일 시스템인 HFS+로 포맷된 파티션을 윈도우 환경에서 읽고 쓸 수 있게 만들어 주는 유틸리티 드라이버입니다. 이번에 무료로 풀린 버전은 윈도우 8 및 8.1만 대응한다는 것을 제외하면 기능이나 사용 기간에 제한이 없는 제품입니다. 간단한 등록 절차를 마치면 설치 시 사용할 수 있는 라이선스가 발급됩니다.

소프트웨어를 설치하는 것만으로 곧바로 탐색기를 통해 HFS+ 볼륨을 다룰 수 있게 되고, 윈도우 운영체제에서는 필요 없는 "."로 시작하는 파일은 숨김 파일로 취급됩니다. 또한, 전원 차단 등으로 인한 데이터 손실을 막기 위해 저널링에 대응하고 있으며, 기존에 나왔던 제품에 비해 부트캠프 드라이버와의 호환성을 개선한 것이 특징이라고 합니다. 그 밖에 업체가 밝힌 Paragon HFS+의 특징은 다음과 같습니다.

설치 진행 및 라이선스 취득 방법

1. Paragon 사이트 접속 후 'Download' 버튼을 클릭해 설치 파일을 내려받습니다. ▼

2. 내려받은'PSG-265-FRE-PL.msi' 파일을 실행하면 시리얼 번호를 물어보는데, 일단 'Get Free Serial' 버튼을 클릭합니다. ▼

3. 웹 브라우저에 등록 페이지를 불러오는데 이름과 이메일 주소 등 간단한 개인정보를 입력하면 등록한 이메일 주소로 제품 키와 시리얼 번호가 전송됩니다. 페이지 하단에 있는 뉴스레터 구독 관련 상자는 굳이 체크하실 필요 없습니다. ▼

4, 다시 설치화면으로 돌아와 이메일로 전달된 제품 키와 시리얼 번호를 입력합니다. ▼

5. 이후 윈도우를 다시 시작하면 HFS+ 파일 시스템으로 포맷한 볼륨을 읽고 쓸 수 있게 됩니다. 부트캠프에 설치하셨다면 맥 파티션과 USB 3 방식의 외장하드도 읽기/쓰기 작업을 하실 수 있습니다. ▼

Freeware
