Đây là 24 chủ đề phổ biến thường xuất hiện trong bài thi IELTS Writing Task 2. IELTS Vietop hy vọng sẽ giúp bạn có thể định hướng luyện thi IELTS một cách hợp lí, hiệu quả và đạt kết quả cao nhé.

Để học tập thật tốt và sử dụng các chủ đề này tốt nhất, Vietop khuyên bạn nên lập ra một kế hoạch học tập hợp lí. Phân ra các chủ đề riêng biệt và luyện tập chủ đề theo tuần. Đồng thời, bạn nên chuẩn bị cuốn sổ note để vừa ôn luyện và ghi nhớ thêm từ vựng với mỗi chủ đề. Một số chủ đề này có thể xuất hiện trong bài thi IELTS Speaking, vì vậy bạn nên kết hợp luyện tập Speaking để đạt kết quả tốt nhất.

1. Chủ đề Art

Sample topic: Some people think that the government is wasting money on the arts and that this money could be better spent elsewhere. To what extent do you agree with this view?

Sample topic: Large businesses have big budgets for marketing and promotion and as a result, people gravitate towards buying their products. What problems does this cause? What could be done to encourage people to buy local products?

Sample topic: Some people think that being able to communicate with others online is breaking down geographical barriers and enabling people, who would normally never have the chance to meet, to communicate.

What are the advantages of international communication online? Are there any disadvantages to this?

4. Chủ đề Criminal Justice

Sample topic: Many criminals commit further crimes as soon as they released from prison.

What do you think are the causes of this? What possible solutions can you suggest?

5. Chủ đề Development

Sample topic: When a country develops its technology, the traditional skills and ways of life die out. It is pointless to try and keep them alive.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

6. Chủ đề Economics

Sample topic: Many governments think that economic progress is their most important goal. Some people, however, think that other types of progress are equally important for a country.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Sample topic: Subjects such as Art, Sport and Music are being dropped from the school curriculum for subjects such as Information Technology. Many children suffer as a result of these changes.

To what extent would you support or reject the idea of moving these subjects from school curriculum?

Sample topic: The money spent by governments on space programmers would be better spent on vital public services such as schools and hospitals.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

13. Chủ đề Health

Sample topic: Some people believe that it is the responsibility of individuals to take care of their own health and diet. Others however believe that governments should make sure that their citizens have a healthy diet.

Discuss both views and give your opinion.

14. Chủ đề Language

Sample topic: Many people believe that learning a foreign language is a very difficult task.

What are the most difficult things about learning a foreign language? What is the best way to overcome them?

Sample topic: people in the lime light have a responsibility to set an example for others by their good behavior.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

16. Chủ đề Public Transport

Sample topic: Many people prefer to use public transportation while others say that personal cars are the best mode of transportation. Excessive use of private cars is considered to be the main reason for the traffic jam in many cities and that’s why the use of public transportation is encouraged.

In your opinion what are the pros and cons of using public transport?

Sample topic: Children who start reading earlier in life, perform better later on in their school studies.

How important are early reading skills in a child’s academic performance? What other preschool factors influence a child’s later academic achievements?

Sample topic: The increasing housing problem in big cities has social consequences. Some people say that only government can solve this problem.
