I found this on another site. I have been wanting to know when 2023 order dates. If I am reading this right. orders for 2023 waves will start in June Or July if production scheduling starts 08/04/2023

2023 Ford F-150 Lightning Production & Ordering Schedule Is Now Available​

Here you can find production and ordering dates for the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning per Friday's FDNB (Fleet Distribution News Bulletin), below is the updated schedule for the 2022/2023MY F-150 Lightning:

• 04/01/2022 - 2022MY Fleet Final Order Due Date
• 07/28/2022 - 2022MY Last Day to Spec Change
• 10/09/2022 - 2022MY Balance Out Date
• TBD - 2023MY Order Bank Open Date
• 08/04/2022 - 2023MY Scheduling Begins
• 10/10/2022 - 2023MY Job #1 Date

The 2023 F-150 BEV Lightning Order Guide will be released on or about the date that the 2023 Order Bank opens and will be available for download in the Dealer Order Guides section at that time.

Does anyone know how the MY2023 reservation list will be handled? I have found a small dealer that doesn't have any pending reservation holders and was wondering if I switch my reservation to them, will I get to order immediately(MY2023 order bank). Or does my reservation number dictate my place in line no matter what dealer I choose.

If they have no reservations, then you would be first in his line, make sure they are EV Certified!!!

2 weeks to a month?

I remember seeing an 8/16 date, but that makes it seem like "Wave" ordering could start more than a month earlier than that. I put my order in at the beginning of Feburary and I knew my production date by the 25th. I think that week was when a lot of people got their production date, so that was just under 2 months since the first wave was able to place their order.

You nailed it! Sometime in the last four hours I went from no date to week of 8/29! Convenietly my birthday is in September too

Maybe, probably not. You have what may be a full year of production ahead of you in theoretically ~180,000 existing reservations. I'm not sure exactly how Ford does this. But, from the way I read it, they will open the reservation order banks, probably ahead of 8/4/22. They'll start getting enough early MY23 reservation holder conversions to orders to schedule early MY23 production capacity. Any new orders will come after they winnow their way through reservation holders.

refreshing this thread since we are technically a month before MY2023 Scheduling Begins in 8/4/2022, anyone have any thought on when ordering might begin? I thought 30 days before Scheduling Begins would’ve been a good guess. I emailed my dealer this morning and hoping for some news

Also curious to get other’s opinions on when folks would theoretically take delivery of a MY23. If scheduling begins in August and the trucks are built in October, I’m guessing the MY23 platinums and lariats start hitting driveways in mid November (XLT and pros sometime in Dec/Jan)?

I don't think anyone knows how they are going to do the trim order this time. Though with their statement about not making a profit on the Mach E.....

Dealer got back and said they would know as soon as we knew, said to keep hounding our emails for a “ready to order” email

I would expect that Ford would want a healthy crop of orders of each trim in hand before starting scheduling. Perhaps they are planning a few waves before scheduling?
