Đánh giá sigma 85 non art năm 2024

I don't have the 85 non-art. But I tried the 50mm Sigma and Canon. The Canon just wasn't as good as it should be, and I didn't like the longitudinal chromatic aberration of the Sigma. An accquaintance warned me of chromatic aberration of the Canon 85/1.8 and wasn't that fond of it. So it might turn out that you don't really have many choices for a very fast lens in the price bracket and have to go with the Sigma anyway. But personally I would go with the Tamron 85/1.8 VC rather than struggle with critical focus at f1.4 . Being able to swan about taking shots with an 85mm at 1/20s...

Re: Sigma 85mm f1.4 ex dg non art

I would highly recommend the Sigma 85 EX. It is my number one lens for years now. Extremely sharp even when wide open (although I did have to use my in-body AF fine tuning). Most of the photos (~90% -- i.e. not the macro or wide shots) in my portfolio (http://clients.jhorstphotography.com/gallery.php?tag=78) are shot with the 85 EX. My only complaint is that the CA's can be a bit much when wide open and in a high contrast area.

Mine is very sharp in that range and the CAs usually aren't an issue (between shooting conditions and software, it's virtually non existent).

How is the iq and sharpness of this lens?(not the art version) Also i will be using wide apertures between f 2.0-2.8-3.2 is it sharp at these wide apertures? I was also thinking about a 50mm f1.4 lens but i think the 85mm will give me better background blur and also i read a few reviews that the 85mm sigma is sharper and better in iq than both the sigma 50mm and canon 50mm f1.4

Its my go to lens for portraits. Almost always shoot at 1.8 or 2. Bitingly sharp

Closed down a couple of stops or at 5.6 it give a huge file size. In fact this is the only lens among my other lenses that gives such a file size. captures very very detailed/clear/contrasty image stepped down. I don't have AF issues with it. Focuses perfectly.

Very low CA at 1.4 and 1.8, but very minimal can be ignored or corrected if required. I didn't find any CA above 2.8.

I didn't get a chance to compare it with the Art series. Probably others can comment on it.

The lens is extremely sharp and that is why I am not upgrading to the ART version.

I don't have any problem with focusing. Very little CA which can be easily corrected.

Here is 100% crop. Only 800k from 36mp so only 2.5 % of the full picture.

If you zoom in on the eye on the right you will see a little CA. But this is a humongous crop so I did not even bothered to correct it.
