Get your guide colosseum tour reviews

I may be in the minority, but heres my experience [From Jan 2023]. We booked an underground tour through CoopCulture.

Getting into the Colosseum was long and painful, even in Jan. The underground tour had about 30 people in it. Whist we had ear pieces we could not see what the guide was showing as it was quite cramped, and I think there were too many people on the tour. The best part of the tour was walking on the private entrance around the base of the colosseum floor. You felt like the only ones in the whole colosseum. We then went onto the arena, and then that was it. There was no tour of the upper levels, and you were kind of left alone.

For the Palentine and forum, our ticket got us in. Trying to find a tour to take use just for the Forum and paelntine was really difficult. In the end I hired a private guide for 2 hours, but that cost me 150. He was brilliant though

If i had my time again, I would probably book a roman guys tour or something similar, now I have seen the underground.

Museums in Prague and Paris would not accept the vouchers on my Wallet [iPhone]; both stating they do not do business with them. The worst part was the failure of the tour company to live up to their promise of a later delay from Giverney. Due to a late start on the company's fault time was supposed to be extended at the end of the trip. I walked into the parking lot at 7 minutes past one and the bus went right by me. I then had to find my own way back to Paris on my own dime. A very troubling experience.

I love Get your Guide, it covers lots of cities. I recently booked three trips in Edinburgh and everything worked out great until the last morning. The driver and bus had not arrived by the 8.30am meeting time, so I checked in the app for help, there was a "call" option so I called and the tour company's office told me that the driver had to call in to the garage to check the bus. I'm all in favour of having a safe bus, even if it means a delay.

I used GYG for all the trips I wanted in 4 different cruise ports, not only did I save a large amount of money, compared to the ships excursion costs, I had the freedom to go where and when I wanted, the cancel upto 24hrs before the trip, helped me make the decision to use GYG, as sometimes on ships the port can be cancelled for bad weather, I would highly recommend, and I did to some new friends from USA, they were also very impressed

I have used GetYourGuide on multiple continents. They find interesting activities run by local providers. The group generally consists of interesting and international travelers. I also get very clear directions on where to meet in an email the day before the tour. It's a great way to find the best activities all on one organized app/website and has been a go-to travel tool.

アテネからメテオラに日帰りは長時間で大変だからこそ、プライベートタクシーにして良かった。

7:30にアテネのホテルを出てメテオラには13:00位に到着し、修道院2箇所とフォトスポット2箇所に寄ってから16:00頃にレストランに寄った。アテネのホテルには22:00位に着くので、早めの夕食だったが、昼食を食べる暇がなかった。

車内は飲食禁止となっていたが、途中のトイレ休憩で寄ったドライブインで、買って食べる時間が欲しかった。コーヒーを買って飲む事は出来て、プライベートだから食べることも出来たと思うが、食事が夕食になるとは思っていなかったため、何も食べずに行ってしまった。 英語が上手くないため、コミュニケーション不足だったのかもしれないが、最初に一日の予定と時間を教えてくれたらスムーズだったと思う。 シャンパンのサービスもあった。

Make changes to booking dates without consulting, and then claim they have a one change policy? Really disappointing, had to purchase new tickets at the site. Avoid get your guide, alot of tours we went on all complained they have ongoing issues with them.

Holly, our guide from 360 was exceptional in every way. An expert on Vincent and imparting wonderful insights and had us moving at pace through the museum keeping everyone engaged. The temporary exhibition was also fantastic. One of the best art museums in the world and worth every cent. Thank you Holly for bringing it to life for us.

Update: contacted me, said not their fault and refused to return the money saying I'm supposed to reschedule. I do not want to have anything with their so called partner which is SCAM business, just like this app. I do not need their services. And I do not reside in FL or Columbia. SCAM! Took my money, gave me a Columban number while I was in Florida and requested FL service. When I called the number, there was a recording in spanish, nobody picked up the phone. I demanded money back and there's only chat option on this app. Their rep tells me they won't return the money and they do not know why their "partner" is not responding. SCAM!

I have used GetYourGuide for holiday excursions for a few years now and I love it! It's helpful that you can book trips and not have to pay until a few days before! It is easy to get your tickets and also if you have any questions, the customer service is very efficient. Nothing bad to say, will carry on using them!

After canceling one event on Getyourguide I thought both were canceled. My mistake so when I realized this it was just past the 24 hour mark. I am having a surgical procedure but they don't seem to care and said get a letter from my surgeon and they will think about it. I have other worries than ask my Dr. For a note. "not to even offer 50%back" I will not use this co. In the future.

Purchased a "Gladiator" tour of the Colosseum several weeks before my wife and I departed for our trip to Italy. Just 2 days before our tour was to take place, the company contacted us to say that our tour was not available and that they were offering to put us on a tour that cost half as much, about $80 difference for 2 adults, but they would only refund $5 to us as an "inconvenience fee." OR we could opt for a complete refund and get no tour. With minimal ability to shop and such a short time before our tour [we were only to be in Rome for 1 day], we accepted the tour. The tour itself was completely horrible and I hated every second of it. It was so terrible that several other tourists abandoned the guide mid-tour... The tour guide was awful and spent 95% of the time walking around talking about things NOT related to the Colosseum, and then abruptly ended the tour and left us a few minutes before the tour was supposed to end. It was like she just walked around talking about random things until she thought she'd satisfied the time requirement, and then abandoned us. When we got home a week later I noticed the company had still not sent us the "inconvenience" money, so I started contacting them, after several weeks of going back and forth the company said they would refund my money for the entire tour, but they never did. Rather than refund my credit card or issue a check, the company demanded sensitive banking information, so I called my bank and they recommended not giving that type of information out to anyone. The company continued to refuse to issue a check or refund my credit card.

My wife and I were in Ravenna because our Venice-cruise ship was actually leaving from Ravenna. Ravenna seemed to be most famous for its mosaics, so we booked the UNESCO Monuments and Mosaics Tour. After a short walk from where the cruise ship's shuttle bus dropped us off, we met our tour guide Marco near a Tourist Office. Marco skillfully guided his group of about 20 people through the city, which has an interesting mix of ancient [one thousand or more years old] churches together with a relatively modern central business district. Indeed, the mosaics are amazing, still telling their stories hundreds of years later. At the end of the tour [after three hours], Marco gave us the choice of walking back to the shuttle bus or continuing to yet another monument. We were tired, so we opted for going back to the ship. Despite our weariness, we were more than satisfied with the incredible sights that we did see.

I would not recommend this tour to anyone. The tour left 3:00 pm for a Sunset Tour and within 20 minutes of departure, the air conditioning on the bus broke down. The driver pulled over and got off the bus to make a call without informing the passengers of anything. Our friend communicated to everyone that she overheard the driver speaking to someone in an attempt to get us another bus. She also had to ask the bus driver for water. There were 20 people on the bus and there was an inadequate supply of water. It was 95 degrees in the bus. A bus arrived to return us to our hotels and we were told that we would not be going to the Grand Canyon today. Efforts were made to put us on another tour in the morning, but since we had already booked for other activities and had to return by 6:00 pm, they could not accommodate us. When we booked the tour, we were told that the maximum number of people would be 14. We had 20. We were also told that we would have a sprinter. We did not.

Getyourguide is not reliable at all. I experienced issues with them - I paid an activity, they did not make themselves responsible for errors included around the location on the website and then it was too late to cancel. I lost my money and the worst - when I published my public opinion [not good one of course], they deleted it! They only have 4 and 5 stars on feedbacks received because they delete the opinions when they do not like. Do NOT trust them anymore. This is a completely lack of transparency and honesty.

Overpriced, they rip off the "Guides" These guys are sneaky tricksters who charge well over 30% more than what you should pay. My advice is search a little harder and find the actual provider online OR book, contact direct and then cancel once you have the information you need. Don't trust get your guide with a barge pole. As a "guide", they agreed to take 25% commission which as never great but this month, they have just added on a big fat fee for when they pay out -which is normally a full month later! They never even consulted me when they started to charge this, I only saw it when I got paid. The reason "it is mutually beneficial" even though they admitted they did not consult any suppliers before hand! This meant I lost 38% of my August [peak season] earnings to them!

Absolutely horrible! I scheduled a food tour for my husbands birthday. The day before the tour they email me telling me they could not find a tour guide. I had to call to find out if they were going to reschedule or refund me. No mention at all about rescheduling. Told me refund would take 10 business days. DO NOT BOOK with this company unless you want to be messed over.

Not correct description at all! Should be deep see fishing for big fish... what it was just like going for marcel on tourist boat. No one even know am arriving! Crew burley spoke English. Much to expensive for this kind of experience

I cancelled one of my trips 2 days before [within their guidelines] with the provider then on their app. When I never got my refund I reached out and they said my cancellation did not go through. They would call the provider to verify. They then wrote back saying they can't reach their provider so they are denying my claim. Can't reach their provider? I reached them in one call! Never have I heard of anything like this! Avoid them at all costs!

The organization cancelled valid e-tickets on me 1,5 day before the visit, 2 days after they confirmed them to me and I paid the full amount. No explanation, just cancelled and did not. Offer a valid alternative. Ruined my trip. Completely untrustworthy. CG.

Great options of local providers and we're happy with the local guides we went with on our tours. We booked 7 which is a mixed of guided and tickets [3 in Rome, 2 in Naples and 2 in Florence] and we're happy with all 7 of these. Only thing that can probably be better in terms of pricing is the St Peter's Basilica Dome tour as it turned out to be a bit on expensive side vs DIY or what the tour actually is.

I work in a museum in Quebec and there is a lot of false information about us on their site page. First, they charge more than the actual prices. They say that the cloakroom costs money, but it is free. They also refer to past exhibitions which are no longer presented, so people arrive at the museum disappointed. I tried to contact them via their website to inform them of these inconsistencies, but it seems that you need to have purchased a product and indicate the reference number of the purchase in order to write to them.

Booked an Ouse Cruise through GetYourGuide. The process was fairly straightforward, but I was unable to book the tickets I wanted. Both my wife and I are old enough to qualify for Senior ticket prices, but the website would not allow us to book two senior tickets. One traveller had to be classed as an Adult. We can, [sort of], realise why this may be so [don't want two people who need carers booking without the requisite support], but as we are both able-bodied [at the moment], felt it was a bit of a swizz [Google "swizz" it if it's too old-world for you]. However we both understand that it is for the protection of both staff and other customers so weren't overly bothered. Excellent tour and we will be using GetYourGuide again.
