Utilize the display quality troubleshooter

1. Press Windows + R, type Control Panel and press OK.
2. Click View through in the right-hand corner and select Large Icons.
3. Select Troubleshooting.
4. Navigate to the left pane and click View All.
5. Select Display Quality.
6. Enter the password for admin or grant when prompted.

Perform a reboot

1. Type MSConfig in the search box and press Enter.
2. Find the Services tab and check the Hide all Microsoft services checkbox.
3. Click the Disable All button.
4. Click the Start tab and select Open Task Manager.
5. Close the Task Manager and click OK.
6. Restart your computer.

Check the display settings for the screen resolution

1. Right-click on Start and select Control Panel.
2. Go to Appearance and Personalization.
3. Click the Adjust Screen Resolution button.
4. Navigate to the Resolution section and click the drop-down list arrow.
5. The resolution listed as recommended is your laptops screen resolution (the maximum resolution your monitor can support).
6. You can adjust the brightness and contrast using the monitor controls.

Update the graphics driver

1. Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
2. Look for graphics or video card drivers with a yellow exclamation point, question mark, down arrow, or error message.
3. If the driver has a yellow exclamation mark, double-click it.
4. Open Properties.
5. On the Driver tab, select Update Driver.
6. Restart your computer.
