PHP Conditional StatementsVery often when you write code, you want to perform different actions for different conditions. You can use conditional statements in your code to do this. In PHP we have the following conditional statements:

$var == 'Something Else') { Can we use if without else in PHP?An if statement by its self is absolutely fine. If you have a series of conditions where only one will be true it's better to put the most likely first, then use else if on the subsequent ones so that PHP doesn't have to keep evaluating each condition.
Do you need an else for an if statement? An if statement looks at any and every thing in the parentheses and if true, executes block of code that follows. If you require code to run only when the statement returns true (and do nothing else if false) then an else statement is not needed.
Does else if work in PHP?PHP if-else statement is executed whether condition is true or false. If-else statement is slightly different from if statement. It executes one block of code if the specified condition is true and another block of code if the condition is false.
How we use if ELSE and ELSE IF statement in PHP?if...else statement - executes some code if a condition is true and another code if that condition is false. if...elseif...else statement - executes different codes for more than two conditions. switch statement - selects one of many blocks of code to be executed.
