this is just happening today but when I try to load gta 5 from story mode it crashes with a driver error but If I launch it to online it works but also when online I switch to a main character right to the story game it loads without error. This just started to happen first I validated the game and then I uninstalled and reinstalled my driver, but when loading right to story mode I get these crashes, please help I do not know what just happened, it was working 3 hours ago nicely and now its just acting up

I have just fixed it, so I went online, went to story mode from online then I chose michael or any character and saved a separate file of the game, ( i only had one save the whole time I had the game) well after that was done I deleted my older save files even the autosave and have just fixed it :D hopefully you guys can announce this as a problem that can be fixed, I do not know why this is connected to amd driver but by saving a new file in game and deleting older saves without losing progress worked.

FIXED (( This will only work if you are able to go launch Online and switch to Story mode by changing Character to one of the main 3))

Step 1: Go Online

Step 2: Once inside the game online Switch to Main Character

(This will let you go into story mode without having any crashes on story mode loading)

Step 3: Find a Bed do not go to autosave from phone, go to the persons house and make a new save file of your game. (I had only one file at the time because I kept saving and overwriting to one file)

Step 4: Once making a new save file go to Menu and delete older save files.

Step 5: hopefully it will work for you guys as it worked well for me, I no longer get these errors like Display driver error or freezes on loading.

I have Tested the story mode loading screen multiple times and it is working well, Id suggest when you save to always make a new file and just later on either keep or delete older save files. I might be making new save files and keeping older ones.

Tell me how it worked out for you guys. The errors I got were from AMD in which game glitch freezes on loading screen on Event Logs it was called Display Event ID 4101 amdkmdap. It might be different with nvidia but tell me if it worked. Id suggest to back up your save file from documents/rockstargames/gta5 and find the save file folder and copy it somewhere you can back it up.
