I used to use these monthly! Now that I use BHA's, I don't need them as often. However, everyone still gets blackheads no matter how much acids you may use. I wear sunscreen every day and makeup so no matter how much I use BHA serums now, I still get blackheads and have to squeeze them. Squeezing them means I damage the and irritate my upper skin, and can be scarred for a few days after. So I find these strips still appealing to use as they are a non-obtrusive way to remove all the blackheads on my nose area. These are always easy to use and just require wetting it and sticking it to the nose. There are just the right amount of grooves in it that it conforms to the nose really well. It dries well and removes just the blackheads without irritating the skin. I will repurchase and use these monthly. At first, I don't think it helps in removing anything from my nose pores. However, after knowing how to properly use it, I fell in love with this pore strip. It clings very well to my skin. After it dries, I can feel that the strip pulls out a lot of impurities from deep inside my pores. I can even see the result every single time I use this pores strip. I received these strips as a free sample and gave them to my hubby. Of course, I had to administer them! We were both amazed at the 'gunk' that they extracted from his skin.... around the nose area. You can actually see the dirt on the strips when they are dry and you slowly pull them off the skin. Now we both use them every once in a while, especially when we want to look our best and we may be 'up close and personal'. They are amazing. Even though my Skin care routine is very intense i.e. oil emulsifier, sonic face brush and a daily scrub, i still find my pores on my nose are never fully clean and these strip really "cling" onto my nose and mange to deeply clean those nasty pores on my noise haha. Would defiantly recommend making sure you nose is wet and really pushing the strip into your nose to make sure you cover every pore. The only downfall is that it does hurt to pull it off but it doesn't make you nose red or irritated. The little slits to help get a nice snug fit on your nose ensures that you can shape your pore strip to the exact shape needs without missing any areas. I've never been disappointed with these strips, I always have a packet in my bathroom cupboard. And while some people may prefer using electronic pore cleaners, I personally don't see the appeal in using a device that is likely to cause capillaries to rupture, resulting in bright red blotches under the skin. Why make the problem worse, especially when it's so easy to pull off a deepdown clean? These strips instantly lock onto and lift out deepdown dirt and oil that can cause blackheads, for the deepest clean. When used weekly, you will have fewer clogged pores and the appearance of pores will actually diminish. Dermatologist tested. Hypo-allergenic. An additional step in the beauty regime for a deep cleanse. Initial thoughts on viewing the product: This box gives me the giggles. The top half is white and simple with just the brand name, but the centre is the real feature, with these cute bubbles and a lady’s face. She’s got a Mona Lisa smile and a nose strip, some bright pink bubbles around her and you know what, those bubbles are to give the illusion of cleaning! Hey! That’s what she’s doing! Thoughts on application: When I first saw these, many many years ago, I thought them to be some kind of weird torture device. You’re pulling what out of your face? Keep in mind, this was when I was a kid. I now know better and I want this to be done. Stat! Each box contains seven individually wrapped strips, with each wrapper labelled with copious instructions and it comes with a little slit in the side to make it easier to open. For any newbies, you want to make sure your face is clean before you get started, and everything is dry, including working surfaces. If your strip is wet before you get started, then you will need a new strip! Say no to waste! Open the strip wrapper and remove the strip. You will see the top and bottom of the nose strip has three indented cuts in it; you want to gently separate these cuts as it will make sure they will sit on your nose better. The top part of the strip is where the strip is scalloped. The bottom part of the strip is where it is slightly ballooned (and will sit over the end of your nose). Put your strip down, then dampen your nose with a few drops of water, making sure you go into the crevices and on either side of your nose towards the cheek (or the strip won’t stick). Dry your hands, remove the backing plastic and then stick that sucker on. Pat it down and leave it for ten to fifteen minutes It’s during this time I like to multi-mask the rest of my face (otherwise my eyes feel dry and the rest of my face gets a bit tight). Plus it’s fun. Why should your nose get all the joy?! If you have never used a nose strip before, or if it’s been a while since you’ve used one, removing the nose strip is going to either sting or be painful, so prepare yourself. Your eyes might water! If this is the case, you want to stick to the time limit and no more. Once the strip is fully dry and hardened, you know it’s time to suck it up and get it done. You want to gently lift the outer edge on both sides with a fingernail. Then hold the skin of one cheek taut with one hand, and gently peel the nose strip off with the other hand. If one side is getting a bit too much to take, then switch sides. Honestly, once you get to the bridge of your nose, it’s all gravy from there. The best part is looking at your nose strip to see how much gunk you’ve managed to pull out. Regular use shows a dramatic improvement in your pores, honestly. Plus if you’ve had a week where you wore very dramatic makeup and didn’t do a good cleanse, trust me it will show in your nose strip! This product is an excellent indicator of what is going on environmentally and with your skincare routine. I have recently switched to these pore strips simply because my normal ones were out of stock. I was a little hesitant because I really like my normal ones, but these ones are incredible! I use a pore strip after washing off a charcoal mask, which helps to draw everything to the surface and makes it easier for the pore strip to grip onto everything. I notice a huge difference using them a pore strip after my charcoal mask. The pore strip pulls out way more dirt and gross stuff from my nose! It actually takes me a minute to stop staring at it and marveling at the amount of yuck that has come out of the pores on my nose. All in all; amazing product! The pore strips are usually made to be used either across the top of your nose or other problem areas such as your forehead or chin. The only place on my face that needs help is my nose therefore I only use it there To use the pore strip I cleanse my face, then wet my nose before peeling of the backing and applying the pore strip shiny down side onto my nose, pressing it into the grooves down the edges of my nose (where lots of the yucky stuff is). Coconut oil hair mask, nose strip, hair removal and body moisturiser application on a Sunday night. The strips are for big blackhead sufferers as if you o lay have a few it probably won't be as satisfying when the strip comes off. This product does a excellent job of clearing the built up congestion around the nose area however I find that it is skincare the reduces the amount of blackheads over all. If no attention to the products being used is being paid then you need to keep using products like these which are literally a bandaid and do nothing to prevent their existence in the first place. These strips do what they're supposed to; that's why I keep repurchasing them, & that's why they've attained cult status Each pore strip is sealed in its own foil sachet, which reduces mess. The simple instructions, with diagrams, are on the back of the box as well as on each foil sachet Cleanse & rinse your face, leaving it wet. DRY YOUR HANDS, then tear open a sachet. There are tiny slits which you have to tear open, to contour to the curves of your nose. The strips have a little bit of stretch to them too, making for a perfect fit. Starting from the centre, attach the dry strip to your wet nose. Leave until it's dry to touch, about 10-15 minutes, then slowly peel off, starting at the edges. I pull both sides off together, the last bit to come free is the centre of my nose. Give your face another rinse if you have a few little bits of white sticking to your face It's pretty disgusting to look at the pore strip after removing it: all that gunk was in your face! Yet it proves that the strips are doing something. The pore strips are easy to use and a pleasure to remove. These certainly assist in unclogging of my pores. I love the nose strips because the rip out those nasty blackheads leaving clear skin. Surprisingly it feels quite gentle on my skin and doesn’t rip out anything it shouldn’t. Having a lot of blackheads on my nose, I find that other pore strips do not get rid of all of them. With these strips I can see all of the little dirty dots on the paper and know that my pores are clean. A great product I highly recommend.
