Ford Philippines has just introduced the newest version of its popular Everest midsize SUV. Here’s everything you need to know about it. Introduced alongside its equally popular Ranger pickup truck sibling, the all-new Everest still sits on top of the previous generation’s T6 platform but gets a complete redesign inside and out, some engine updates, and several new tech features. The 2023 Ford Everest is available in five variants spread across four trim levels, starting with the entry-level 2.0 Trend A/T, followed by a new 2.0 Limited 4×2 A/T, then the 2.0 Sport 4×2 A/T, 2.0 Titanium+ 4×2 A/T, and topping-out with the 2.0 Bi-Turbo 4×4 A/T. Looking at the exterior, the 2023 Ford Everest wears the same new design language as with its Ranger sibling. In fact, they share a very similar, if not the same front fascia. It gets the blue oval’s signature C-clamp headlights, connected by a large front grille with a horizontal bar. This gives it a tougher and more muscular appearance. Standard exterior features on the 2023 Ford Everest, starting from the entry-level Trend variant are a body-colored front grille, multi-reflector LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, front and rear fog lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, and LED taillights. Going for the new Limited variant adds a power tailgate. Then the mid-level Sport gives you a gloss black front grille, black 20-inch alloy wheels, blacked-out headlight housing, Everest hood lettering, and hands-free power tailgate function. Moving up to the Titanium+ 4×2 gives you silver 20-inch alloy wheels, chrome grille, puddle lamps, and a panoramic sunroof. Finally, the Titanium+ 4×4 adds matrix LED headlights. Inside, the 2023 Ford Everest also gets a similar interior as the Ranger. The overall interior is more modern, premium, and tech-filled than before. Right smack in the center is a portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment system. Standard interior features on the 2023 Ford Everest, starting from the entry-level Trend variant are leather seats, manual climate control, 8-inch fully-digital instrument cluster, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Ford SYNC 4A and Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 8-speaker audio system, and 8-way power adjust driver’s seat. Going for the new Limited variant and mid-leve Sport adds an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, dual-zone automatic climate control, power adjust front passenger’s seat, and rear USB ports. Moving up to the Titanium+ 4×2 gives you an upgraded 12-inch portraint touchscreen, ambient lighting, and a 230V Inverter Outlet. Finally, the top-spec Titanium+ 4×4 gives you a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, and power folding 3rd row seats. Under the hood, all Everest variants get a 2.0-liter EcoBlue turbodiesel engine. The 4×2 variants’ single turbo makes 170 horsepower and 405 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission. On the other hand, the Titanium+ 4×4’s carried-over bi-turbo makes 210 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, paired to a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. As for safety, the Titanium+ 4×4 gets Ford’s Co-Pilot 360 suite of advanced driver-assist features. This gives it Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering, Auto High-Beam Headlights, Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping System, Reverse Brake Assist, Evasive Steer Assist, 360-degree Camera, and Blind Spot Monitoring System with Cross Traffic Alert.
